Frequently asked questions
Who can join Amana Institute?+
Girls and women of all ages are welcome — children, college students and older women. Boys may join while they are under 18. Both programs are for students aged 9 and up; we cannot accept children under 9.
What is the difference between the two programs?+
Saturday Circle is one 60-minute live lesson every Saturday for $125 USD per student each month. Intensive is three 45-minute live lessons each week for $150 USD per student each month, for ages 9 and up.
Do I choose my Saturday lesson time?+
No. The teacher places students by age and gender, then contacts you with the lesson time. Boys and girls learn in separate lessons. Saturday start times are [to be confirmed].
Does choosing three dates mean only three lessons a month?+
No—it means three days every week. If you choose Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, those weekdays repeat throughout the month at the same selected times. That is about 12 lessons a month, not just three dates. The price stays $150 USD per student monthly.
Is tuition for the whole family or each student?+
Tuition is per student, not per family or lesson time. For example, four intensive students cost $600 USD a month in total: four × $150. Each learner needs their own student entry and place.
